Harpy Eagle

The Harpy Eagle, this first image was taken at the Summit Garden and the second one along the Pipeline Road. The Harpy Eagle is Panamas National Bird.  The Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja) is a neotropical eagle. The talons are up to 13 cm (5 in) long, longer than a Grizzly Bear’s claws. The Harpy Eagle’s main prey items are tree-dwelling mammals such as monkeys, coatis, and sloths.
