Toucans in Panama
Birds from Panama May 27th, 2008
Toucans are near passerine birds from the neotropics, they are brightly marked and have large, colorful bills. Toucans mostly eat fruits and berries and sometimes insects. In Panama there are a variety of Toucans that can be found mostly we see the Rainbow Billed Toucan, the Yellow Throated Toucan, the collared Aracari but there are also some Toucanets around. Good places to see them are the Soberania National Park and i have also seen them in the Metropolitan Park or even up in El Valle. There are also more photos of toucans here in my other website mynaturephotos.com where you also can upload your own pictures.
